Harvey is a lovely 16.1hh 15yo WB x Arab gelding. He has been used as a dressage horse and for recreational hacking. He is easygoing in every way, catching, rugging, clipping, bathing etc. He is for sale as a companion due to me having to retire him as he is no longer up to competing. He loves company and prefers to be among other horses. Harvey is mildly lame on his nearside fore, he has been for a period of time and the vet assures me he is in no pain until pushed. He is comfortable in a field all day and the lameness is almost impossible to spot until he is ridden hard in trot - No treatment required for this or any other special requirements. Harvey has recently been clipped, is happy eating hay/ haylage and lives in overnight. He has experience living alone in the field or living within a herd. He is very gentle and loving and is a very loyal horse. Loves to be groomed and treated. Harvey has an extensive wardrobe and this is negotiable separately to the purchase of the horse. £500 ONO - Priceto ensure he ends up in 5* home to enjoy his retirement and is loved. NO time wasters please as this is a very difficult sale.

*** quick sale urgently needed *** Due to circumstances beyond my control (loss of grazing and stable) Ive found myself in a position whereby I need to find a new home for my lovely thoroughbred gelding ASAP. 16.2/16.3hh thoroughbred gelding, 17 years old (but still thinks hes 5) he still has plenty of life left in him and would make someone a fantastic dressage/show horse, or would be a fantastic companion. On the ground he is a saint, 100% in every way, by far the easiest horse Ive ever had. Hes fantastic to catch/shoe/clip/load/travel/stable etc. Absolutely nothing phases him. He can be turned out in a herd or is just as happy alone as long as he can see other horses. He is fantastic in his stable, can muck out around him with the door left open and he just stands watching you. Lives off fresh air and is good at keeping his weight. He loves attention and really will stand all day to be groomed, give him a carrot or polo and hell be your best friend for life. He is a sweetheart and I reallycannot fault him on the ground. He can be ridden, however under saddle he needs a confident, experienced rider who is able to keep his head in the game and deal with a few quirks. I bought him with the intention of using him as a happy hacker, however its turned out he wasnt suitable for what I wanted so hes just been kept as a pet. He hasnt been in work for a good couple of months so is being sold from the field and will need bringing back into work, so he would be classed as a project of sorts. When I did ride him I found that he can throw a cheeky buck when first ridden, nothing nasty or dangerous, and not huge bucks either. He can also feel a little tense for the first couple of minutes, but soon settles. However he can get slightly distracted so needs someone who is able to keep his focus on work rather than whats going on around him, once youve got his attention on you he does work in a lovely correct outline and gets on with the job. His previous owner had him for the past nine years and shefocused on the dressage side of things, and he is BD affiliated gaining over 50 BD points, so for someone looking to do dressage or showing he would be a cracking horse once hes up to fitness. He is RoR registered and has travelled the country with the RoR dressage team. Im told he has hunted previously and also jumped, however Ive never done anything like this with him as its not my thing so I cant say for certain what hes like. Hes also done beach/fun rides and has proven to be willing and able, with great stamina. He does hack out and is great in all traffic, can get a lit spooky if a big lorry or bus passes too close, but nothing terrible, just a bit looky and maybe a jog on the spot. Nothing an experienced rider wouldnt be able to handle. He is great to hack in company and will go first/last or in the middle. He doesnt like to hack alone and can be very nappy and will plant his feet. However if he has someone on foot (or a bike) hes generally okay and will hack alone. Hes the sort of horse whoneeds consistency and being in regular work, and unfortunately hes just not suitable for me and my needs. I was looking for a horse who could be left for days/weeks and picked back up. But he needs regular work and routine which I just cant give him. I paid over £1800 for this horse and unfortunately he just isnt what I was looking for. I had previously advertised him and found what I thought was the perfect home for him (even got a small deposit) so gave my notice on the stable/grazing as he was supposed to be going this Saturday. The sale fell through as the buyer has family issues he has to deal with, however my stable/grazing has been reserved for someone else from next Monday so Im now in a situation where I need to find a home for him ASAP. Hes up to date with everything jabs/worming etc. Had new fronts put on last week and also had teeth checked (26/09/18) Weatherbys passported, microchipped and RoR registered. Willing to accept any offer around £550-600 for a quick sale.
