British Equestrian Vaulting has announced the vaulting squads selected for the junior and senior European Championships, in Ebreichsdorf, Austria (31 July - 4 August).

The selection sees current World and European individual female vaulting champion, Joanne Eccles, return to defend her European title, alongside 2012 world gold medallist junior pas de deux vaulters Andrew McLachlan and Rebecca Norval.

The senior squad is:

Individual Female: Joanne Eccles

Individual Female: Lucy Phillips

Team: English Vaulting Squad (Lydia Barham, Paige Brown, Jessica Haynes, Stephanie Hunter, William Jenkins, Lucy Phillips and Sara Shortland)

Pas de Deux: Hannah and Joanne Eccles

The junior squad is:

Individual Female: Stacey Macpherson

Individual Female: Elloise Cundy

Individual Female: Hannah Young

Individual Male: Andrew McLachlan

Individual Male: George Cox

Team: South Scotland Select (Sophie Aitchison, Emma Counsell, Izzy Kyle, Sam Kyle, Charlie Lochhead, Stacey Macpherson and Shannon Purves)

Pas de Deux: Andrew McLachlan and Rebecca Norval

Lucy Bell, chef d’equipe for the British Vaulting team says; "I feel that we have a really exciting squad for this year’s Championships, one which combines both youth and experience. After a successful World Vaulting Championships last year, the team can’t wait to compete out at Ebreichsdorf."
