Fox Pitt clocks up 50th eventing win at Blenheim

William Fox-Pitt clocked up a major career milestone with his win at the Fidelity Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials with Catherine Witt’s Seacookie-- his 50th three-day event win of his career.

Forty-four-year-old William, scored his first three-day event victory in 1991 at Windsor on Thomastown. Since then he had represented Britain at 15 championships and has won 11 four-star events.

"To win50 three-day events is really exciting and it’s particularly special to get my 50th at Blenheim, which is a lovely event."

Runner up Mark Todd rode the inexperienced Conair, owned by Suzie Belsham, into second place. after recently taking over the ride from his regular rider Rodney Powell, who is injured.
