Twenty-year-old dressage Young Rider team member Bobby Hayler (daughter of top rider/trainer Paul Hayler) has won the 2012 TopSpec Dressage Scholarship.

Bobby’s rides include Luderitz, a 12-year-old grand prix gelding and Active Walero, a 22-year-old-gelding, competing at Young Rider level as part of team GB.

Bobby is also training the eight-year-old gelding, Diamond Jubilee at advanced medium and prix st georges level. "I am over the moon to have won this year’s TopSpec Dressage Scholarship," said Bobby. "To have the support and nutritional advice from them is a huge bonus."

Bobby’s prize includes £500 worth of TopSpec feed and a visit from a TopSpec nutritionist, £500 to be spent on dressage training with an accredited trainer and £500 worth of TopSpec horse and rider clothing.

"After the busy summer months I hope to go out to Germany to work with top trainer and dressage rider Monica Theodorescu. This will set me in good stead for the 2013 season.".

The 2012 TopSpec Dressage Scholarship also saw a runner-up place awarded to Essex-based rider Bethany-Rose Horobin, aged 14, who has her sights set on securing her place on the Pony European dressage team.
