British Eventing adds extra competition days

British Eventing has confirmed that Nigel Taylor has agreed to add a further day of competition at Aston le Walls (3) on Wednesday 8 August at Intermediate and Advanced level.

This additional day will prevent any Intermediate entries being balloted and allow a further opportunity at Advanced level following the loss of the Gatcombe Festival and the oversubscription of the CIC3* at the NAF 5 Star Hartpury International.

The organisers have also confirmed that there will be new Intermediate and Advanced cross-country courses. In the event of wet or hard ground the all-weather surfaces will be used for the dressage or show jumping.

Entries for the Advanced class will be taken on a first come first served basis. For more information visit

Chris Farr, BE Sports Operations Manager said: "We are incredibly grateful to Nigel and Ann Taylor for agreeing to add this extra day of competition. The weather has caused so many recent cancellations, disrupting the plans of many members. We are delighted to be able to provide this additional competition opportunity at Advanced level, particularly in light of the cancellation of the Festival and the necessary CIC3* ballot at Hartpury."

Additional days of competition have been also recently added at Dauntsey (1) and West Wilts (2).
