Blue Chip’s three-year-old racehorse Come on Blue Chip is to run in the Britannia Stakes at Royal Ascot on Thursday 21 June. Bought by Blue Chip’s owner and founder Clare Blaskey as a foal from Goffs Sale in Ireland, Come on Blue Chip, was prepared at home for the St Ledger Yearling Sales in Doncaster, but failed to get any bids and so was put into training.

Bred by Esker Lodge Stud in Ireland, this horse will be the first from the stud to run at Royal Ascot. Come on Blue Chip was born five weeks late, and as a result his dam had no milk to feed him so he was fostered by a pony mare.

Clare Blaskey says: "Having a sensible foster mum is probably why he has such an amazing temperament. He comes home for holidays and settles straight back in to the routine with our show and dressage horses."

Trained by Paul D’Arcy, Come on Blue Chip has already won three races in his short career and Clare’s family and staff will all be at Ascot to cheer him on.
