The British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA) is supporting International Helmet Awareness Day, an annual initiative that highlight the importance of correctly fitted and up-to-standard safety headwear for riders, on 9 June.

"International Helmet Awareness Day’s aims and objectives are very much in line with those of BETA and we are pleased to offer our full backing," says the trade association’s executive director, Claire Williams.

"Rider safety sits at the very heart of our organisation and, for many years, BETA has worked with key members of the equestrian industry to develop standards and train retailers to fit garments such as hats and body protectors."

Organisers Riders4Helmets will be streaming live "Get Educated" seminars at www.Riders4Helmets.com on the day. Visitors will be able to ask experts questions in real time.

For advice on hat fitting and safety visit www.beta-uk.org, or contact BETA 01937 587062.
