The final day at the 2012 Osberton International Horse Trials saw hot competition in the British Eventing Lycetts Four and Five year old Young Horse series.

Chilli Chap, an Irish-bred gelding by Chillout (Abdullah – TRAK x True Love) out of Heroes Pride (Duleek Hero x Forest Beauty) claimed the four year old title. Bred by Mary Ann Riley and owned by Pam Ashworth, this was a catch ride for James Sommerville.

The five-year-old title was won by Kitty King and Ceylor Lan, the recent winner of the Dubarry Young Horse Five year old class at Burghley.

Anna Bates from title sponsors Lycetts said: "Once again the prestige of the Young Horse Championships has increased and the quality of horses here keeps on improving year on year. Lycetts are proud to be associated with such a popular event and seeing the progression of horses coming up through the ranks.

"It was particularly pleasing to congratulate Tom How and Belco HRS on his second successive win in the age classes and we look forward to seeing him and the other prize winners from this week develop into the future."
