Come What May, a 17-year-old coloured native, has been voted the Equimax/Eraquell Show Pony Personality of the Year.

From the many nominations received a panel of judges selected six finalists to go forward to the public vote that decided the Equimax/Eraquell Show Pony Personality of the Year 2102. Runner up was prolific show champion, Wortley Celebration, for mother and daughter team Samantha and Georgia Darlington.

Come What May, owned by Rebecca Lock of the Sherlock’s Stud, stood best native at HOYS and third at the Royal International Horse Show in  2010. Having stood Supreme Champion at CHAPS South East last year where she was champion brood mare.

This was a poignant win for the stud which lost Come What May earlier this year. ‘It was obviously one final thing she could win’ said Rebecca.  ‘She was an exceptional pony and I can count on one hand how many times she messed up a show, this was the icing on the cake for a fabulous pony so naturally we are delighted that she won this award’

Reserve Welsh Sec B gelding Wortley Celebration and Georgia Darlington  have enjoyed a successful partnership. A HOYS winner as both an M&M and SHP, the pair has been successful in mini and open classes.
