Polocrosse returns to Rugby

Just two months after the 2011 Polocrosse World up ended, the sport of polocrosse is returning to Onley Grounds Equestrian Centre, just south of Rugby in Warwickshire. This time the venue will see the UK Polocrosse National Championships being fought out over two days on the 17th and 18th of September.

Polocrosse is easier to describe as lacrosse on horseback and it is one of the fastest paced and visually exciting equestrian sports there is. The world cup showcased the very best players and horses in the world and all the spectators who came through the gates of Onley Grounds went away amazed at the skills demonstrated by the riders and their equine partners.

Now it is the chance of the very best players in the UK to battle it out for the ultimate prize in UK polocrosse and with all the top players and horses from the UK in attendance, as well as a few foreign stars, the standard of polocrosse will still be incredibly high and the two day event promises to produce some very enjoyable entertainment for anyone who wants to come along and watch.

Play gets underway at 9am on the 17th and runs until 4pm on Sunday. Entrance to the event is free and there will be food and drink stands on site.
