Seth, an Ardennes horse weighing almost one tonne has decided to take up painting in his spare time. Seth, who lives at HorseWorld in Bristol was inspired by the art exhibition currently on display at the charities visitor centre.

Assistant Yard Manager, Vicky Greenslade has been helping Seth to create his masterpieces. "Painting can be a valuable form of enrichment for horses while they are in their stables. The horses come into their stables during opening hours and go out in the fields overnight. Seth is very intelligent and gets bored easily so we thought this would be something he could do during the day" said Vicky "Creating the artwork is safe for the animals and the paints are non-toxic and washable. Seth’s style is rather loose and modern. He has been described as an abstract impressionist. His big fleshy lips are not the easiest thing to hold a paintbrush with but he manages to produce some good work. We have been using clicker training to teach him his techniques."

HorseWorld hold presentations at 2pm every day. Seth has been showing off his painting skills to his many adoring fans during some of these presentations. "Seth is one of the most popular animals on HorseWorld's adoption scheme. He has a personality to match his immense size." Said Kim Goddard, Marketing Coordinator at HorseWorld "When you adopt a horse, or other animal, with HorseWorld, you not only get to help your own special animal friend, but you receive a fun animal adoption pack specially made for your own adopted animal.
