The Thoroughbred Rehabilitation Centre (TRC) was Britain's first centre dedicated to the welfare, re-training and re-homing of racehorses when their racing days are over.

We are very pleased to announce the launch of the inaugural TRC Charity Raceday to be held at Haydock Park on Friday 14 October.  This is a brand new raceday and is the last of the flat at Haydock Park for 2011. The day is likely to attract top owners, trainers and jockeys with the best horses as they give them one last run at the course before the winter. The meeting is expected to enjoy extensive press coverage at national and local level and will be covered on Racing UK.

The day will include a display of TRC horses and the opportunity to meet the TRC team.

We will be holding an exclusive lunch and auction in the Park Suite which overlooks the course.  Guests will have exclusive use of the room for the entire race day with full waitress food and drink service.  Tables of 10 are available for hospitality.

A huge thank you to Betfair, who have recently confirmed their support as a race sponsor for the event.  For details of sponsorship and hospitality please contact Tracey Wilson, Fundraising Development Manager on 01524 812649 or email

Proceeds raised from the raceday will go towards the ongoing work of the Centre providing a life and purpose after racing for Thoroughbreds. This currently costs around £1500 per day and demand for our services continues to grow.
