World Horse Welfare’s Penny Farm is getting in the party mood on Sunday 19 June 2011 for their 10th Anniversary Party.

You can help celebrate 10 years of rescue and rehabilitation work at Penny Farm by bringing the whole family to enjoy all of the displays and activities on offer.

Since June 2001 when World Horse Welfare’s President HRH The Princess Royal officially opened Penny Farm, 22 foals have been born and a total of 371 horses have been rehomed.

The Western Equestrian Society will be at World Horse Welfare’s Recovery and Rehabilitation Centre near Blackpool on the day to demonstrate the discipline of Western Riding as practised in the United States.

Other activities on the day include: -

• Donkey rides

• Bouncy castle

• Face painting

• Cowboy BBQ

• Cowboy games

• Tours of the yard and chance to meet the horses and ponies

Zoe Clifford, Visitor Centre Officer at Penny Farm said "We are really looking forward to the event as it should be a fantastic way to celebrate 10 years of us rescuing, rehabilitating and

rehoming horses.

"We have lots of great, fun activities on offer and what better way for families to spend the day together on Father’s Day?!".

The fun takes place from 11am to 4pm. Admission is free however there may be a small charge for some of the activities.
