A new Apprentice-style competition to find the north’s best up-and-coming show jumper makes its debut at Countryside Live on 23 – 24 October at the Great Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate.
Hosted by international show jumpers and trainers Graham and Tina Fletcher, riders will be put through their paces during the two day rural showcase with the climax on Sunday afternoon when the overall winner will be named as the Countryside Live Champion Show Jumper 2010.

"We want riders from across Yorkshire and bordering counties to come forward and enter this exciting new competition," said Graham. " Not only is it an opportunity to pick up the silverware and perform in front of a crowd, but hopefully it will help improve technique and style. The course will be tailored to the rider's experience and ability so it will vary from competitor to competitor. We'll make it fun but we will stretch them and it will be challenging!"

The winner will get the chance to spend the day at Graham and Tina’s yard in Oxfordshire.

Application forms are available from www.countrysidelive.co.uk or contact Sally Wall: 01423 546218. Deadline for entries is Friday 8 October.
