Hickstead SJ 2 Wednesday
Greg Taylor and Dutchman
A horse bought from British team dressage rider Emile Faurie showed his prowess as a show jumper by winning the BSJA Business Partnership Winter Novice Championship, the first senior International Arena class at this year’s Royal International.

Jackie Kemp’s Dutchman and Greg Taylor took the honours back home to Scotland after a terrific round from final draw of seven just pipped Lola Wade, who looked home and dry on another scopey young stallion, Bellagio.

Jackie bought Dutchman, by Emile’s grand prix ride Dream of Heidelberg, as a potential dressage horse seven months ago, but the chestnut will now stick to jumping, having also taken his HOYS Foxhunter and newcomers tickets.

"He had a bit of a look round in round one, but he was just great in the jump-off," said Greg.
