The second leg of the 2010 Meydan FEI Nations Cup takes place at the Piaza di Siena, In Rome, Italy, on Friday 28 May.

World Class showjumping performance manager, Rob Hoekstra has named his five man squad in Friday’s Italian leg of the 2010 series.

Michael Whitaker will partner Beatrice Merten’s 10-year-old- GIG Amai II, who will be hoping to follow their performance in La Baule where they produced a faultless first round clear.

John Whitaker and Rebecca Stones’ 13-year-old stallion Peppermill, make a welcome return to the British squad following a recent rest period.

Fresh from their superb double clear in the La Baule Nations Cup, Peter Charles rides Murka’s Pom d’Ami, an 11- year-old gelding owned by Olga White and Team Murka.

Nick Skelton rides Beverley Widdowson’s nine-year-old gelding Carlo 273, who finished as runners-up in the 300,000€ Global Champions Tour Grand Prix in La Mandria, Italy.

Ben Maher rides 12-year-old gelding Robin Hood W, which he co-owns with Mike and Emma Phillips of the Quainton Stud. .
