After a tense final round, German show jumper Marcus Ehning won the World Cup final in Geneva.

American Mario Deslauriers, a former winner for his native Canada, led going into the final round, but 13 faults on Urico dropped him into sixth place.
Ludger Beerbaum and Swiss rider Pius Schwizer shared second place, ahead of Luciana Diniz of Portugal and Irish rider Dermott Lennon on the Scottish-produced Hallmark Elite.
This compounded the misery for the US team after McLain Ward, who led after round two, was disqualified after a sensitive spot on one of his mare Sapphire’s foreleg was detected by thermal imaging. No blame was attached to McLain or his team, but, despite an appeal, he was not allowed to carry on.
Michael Whitaker, Britain’s sole representative, made a bright start, but retired in round three.
Driving World Cup final also took place at the show. British-based Australian Boyd Exell has been in fabulous form all season and he maintained this to capture the title.
