Showjumping performance manager Rob Hoekstra has announced the four riders who will represent Great Britain at CSIO4* Lummen, Belgium this week.

Ben Maher, Ellen Whitaker, Phillip Spivey and Mark Armstrong, accompanied by chef d’equipe Rob Hoekstra, will to contest the Belgian Nations Cup on Friday 30 April.

Ben will ride the 11-year-old-grey gelding Wonderboy III, co-owned with Mike and Emma Phillips of the Quainton Stud. Ben and Wonderboy have recently returned from a tour on the European continent, winning classes in s’Hertogenbosch and Zurich.

Newly crowned British Open champion, Ellen Whitaker will partner the 14-year-old chestnut gelding Ocolado, owned by Dawn Makin and Ellens father, Steven.

Phillip Spivey will make his sixth British team appearance with Tracey Forrests 12-year-old chestnut stallion, Romanov II. Phillip and Romanov have spent the last few weeks competing on the Villeneuve Loubet and Toscana Tours where they secured several grand prix placings.

Mark Armstrong will ride Thesaura, a 14-year-old bay mare which Mark jointly owns with his wife Emma.
