European team silver and individual bronze medallist Laura Bechtolsheimer and her 14-year-old Mistral Hojris scored a personal best at the Stuttgart CDI, Germany.

The combination won the grand prix special with 77.19% ahead of their nearest rivals, Germany’s Monica Theodorescu and Whisper on 71.95%.

They went on to take the grand prix special with 76.54%, with Germany’s Christoph Koschel and Donnperignon second on 71.66%.

"I am thrilled with Alf [Mistral Hojris]," said 24-year-old Laura. "We scored a personal best in the grand prix – a clear 6% over Monica Theodorescu and Whisper. It was Alf’s first outing since Windsor and he was completely with me all the way -- I am so happy with him, and we managed to stay in control during the prize giving too!"

Prize money for the class, which is also the qualifying competition for the MEGGLE Champions Trophy 2009/2010, totalled 30,000 Euro. The winner received 7,200 Euro, the runner-up 6,100 euro and there was 4,700 euro for third place.

Also on their first outing since the European Championships at Windsor, The Netherlands’ Edward Gal and Moorlands Totilas continued their outstanding form. They won the grand prix with 79.02% and went on to take the kür with 87.80%.
