Tyneside ban
A man has been banned for causing suffering to an animal. Lee Walton was responsible for a horse whose tether became tangled around a tree. Walton, of Merlin Crescent, Wallsend, pleaded guilty at North Tyneside Magistrates’ Court to failing to promote the welfare of the horse and causing unnecessary suffering. He was disqualified from owning or keeping horses for two years and ordered to pay a fine, victim surcharge and costs.
