Bloodlines and career highlights

Bought by Broadstone Stud, Landmark was graded with the BWBS as a five-year-old and was champion BWBS Stallion that year.

His world-class pedigree with Lancier, Landgraf and Ladykiller on his sire’s side and Gothard and Raimondo on his dam’s side, consist of the best Holstein and Hanoverian bloodlines for conformation, movement and performance.

He made his mark as a performance horse early on taking the reserve champion stallion title at his grading in Denmark 1991 and the supreme champion title at the BWBS the following year.

Ridden by Philip Surl, he evented up to international level completing Burgie CC** in 1977 with two clear rounds before an accident where the horse slipped on the flat and broke his hock which forced early retirement after a successful career.

Broadstone Landmark has also competed successfully in affiliated dressage, and trained up to advanced level.
