Bloodlines and highlights

As one of the most popular sports horse stallions, it’s no surprise that Rita Jennings’ Amorous Archie has a fast-growing fan base and even a much visited personal Facebook page!

Easy going and charming, he is home-bred out of Rita’s home-bred mare Avanti Racey Gracie RID, a prolific county show winner by Snowford Bellman RID. Archie’s RID sire is the Irish Grade A show jumper Crosstown Dancer.

His proven Irish Draught bloodlines are impressive. On the dam’s side Avanti Amorous Archie has Snowford Bellman RID now standing in the USA and Banks Fee Daniel RID, as well as Slievenamon, Skippy, Mountain View and The Huntsman.

Unbeaten as a foal and yearling in Irish Draught in-hand classes at county level, his proud owner/breeder says she knew Archie was special from the very early days.

"Archie was easy to do right from the moment he was born," says his owner. "I asked IDHS international judge and Irish Draught Horse Society (GB) founder member Maggie Spreckley-Dollard for her opinion, she described him as ‘a horse of exceptional merit; combining quality with substance and athleticism’."

Archie made his mark under saddle as a four-year-old, winning at the annual ID breed show, where he was reserve champion and highest placed stallion in the Performance Horse class.
