We coach build horseboxes based on the Renault Master and the Vauxhall Movano 3.5 tonne chassis, or a larger 6.5 or 7.5 tonne chassis; according to your own instructions and specification.
The 3.5 tonne chassis can be driven on a standard car license, so there is no need for you take any additional driving tests.
The horses travel facing backwards because studies have shown (Kusunose R & Torikai K (1996) 'Behavior of Untethered Horses during Vehicle Transport'. Journal of Equine Science Volume7 p 21-26), that rear facing horses are able to balance with more ease, causing them much less stress and fatigue.
The Coachman:
The Coachman is a coach build. It has 8ft headroom and can take a horse up to 17.2hh.
A standard build is priced at £12,000, plus the cost of the vehicle, with VAT on the total.
The build includes:
*Standard one colour re-spray;
*Rubber mats in the horse area;
*One movable partition;
*Over head storage in the luton;
*Saddle rack and bridle hooks;
tie rings;
*Windows to the grooms' area.
There are many optional extras and we will be happy to give you a price list for these. Some of the more popular include:
Metallic paint;
External Tack Locker;
sink;
fridge;
hob;
loading wings;
head guard;
internal camera;
reversing camera.
We are able to offer finance on the purchase of your new horsebox. We work with a board of lenders to ensure you get the best possible deal.

Self Drive Hire:
They are 3.5 tonne so can be driven by anyone with a licence. There are restrictions on our insurance however, which mean we can ony insure you if you are between 23 and 70.
Daily hire rate, Monday to Friday is from £100.00 per day (inc insurance)
Saturday and Sunday rate is from £125.00 per day (inc insurance)

Horse Transport:
We are general horse transporters; licensed, insured and approved by DEFRA.

Our horseboxes are built to safely carry mares and foals. We can help load even the most distressed or nervous traveller, using a calm, patient and professional approach.
Charges are £1.25 per mile. If a horse takes longer than 30 minutes to load and/or further waiting time (such as at an event or at the vet) is required, then waiting time is charged at the rate of £10.00 per hour.
From 8am - 8pm, the standard minimum call out charge is £70.00
From 8pm - 8am, the emergency minimum call out charge is £120.00
