points. Total winnings £469 and 224 points. Dennis has been Bens pony of a lifetime taking him from 80cm unaffiliated to 1.15cm affiliated in two years and he has much more to give. He is an attractive pony who would excel both eventing (Works nicely in a snaffle but not an outright dressage pony) and working hunter but his extra special skill lies in his show jumping. He has not been over competed but had top 10 placings (including wins) last year (2014) in massive classes at The Welsh home pony in the Newcomer and foxhunter (both 5th), Blue Chip in the opens (4th and 10th), Arena Uk in the summer and the Halloween Show in the Newcomer, discovery and fun classes, he has a jumped double clear Foxhunter and double clear at his first and only attempt at 1.15cm. He qualified for Scope British Novice and Discovery last year although we chose not to go to the finals. He qualified for the style jumping at the British Riding Clubs Nationals at Lincoln coming 6th in the 85cm class at the finals, a truereflection of the lovely rhythm he jumps in. He was 13th in his only attempt at Progressive out of well over 100. He was placed in his arena at Riding club area dressage. He popped straight round the 1m derby in Wales with, I think 4 down but he was straight up and down the bank, straight over the ditch that eliminated loads, straight over the raised road thing and through the Devils dyke. From 2014, he has his Discovery and Newcomer double clears ready for second rounds 2015, is qualified for the Scope restricted rider at 1m and he qualified for the Discovery and Newcomer equivalents at Blue Chip at his first attempt. He is quick against the clock, turning and jumping from nothing. From 2015, he has a discovery double clear, he has qualified for the Nationals at Discovery at his first attempt with one of only 3 treble clears in a class that was 1.15 in the final round. He came 9th in the Sapphire at Blue chip again in a very strong class. Whilst up for sale he will be now be aimed at the Newcomersecond rounds for this year and Discovery, Newcomer and Foxhunter double clears for next, along with some of the bigger 148 classes. Dennis loves to please, he will jump round with his heart on his back for you, in a fab rhythm, and he is unbelievably honest and natural in his shape over the jump. We dont event but he flew round the only two hunter trials weve done with no issues. Dennis will only be sold to a 5* capable and competitive home where he will be loved and hugged and competed seriously. He is sold as a second pony because he is a serious competition prospect and whilst he has never bucked or reared or bolted or anything else whilst my son has been riding him he will not be sold to a novice child or an inexperienced home. This reflects my requirements rather than Denniss nature. He is good to box, shoe, clip, catch, hack out alone, staying away at shows, standing on the lorry, standing next to you at a show for hours, being cuddled and groomed. He is ridden in a snaffle bridle with nomartingale at all times at home but is competed in a Dutch gag on the second ring (just for turning in the jump off really). We have only travelled him in a lorry but he travelled by trailer at his last home. He has never been sick or sorry with us and is up to date with teeth, physio, flu vac and worming. This is a very special pony who is admired every time we take him out. He can be cheeky to lead occasionally but with common sense it is never a problem and whilst weve never done it and I think hed love it I think hunting might not be the best option, Im just being brutally honest. Sad sale as rider out of ponies at the end of the year. Only for sale now to give him the best chance of the 5* home he deserves. He comes with a very comprehensive wardrobe of boots and rugs, including his John Whittaker jumping saddle and handmade jumping bridle.
