HRH the Queen with Black Caviar
Horse & Country TV is launching a two-part documentary which follows the story of racing legend Black Caviar, the Australian mare hailed as “the best sprinter in the world”.
The programmes which are televised on Wednesday 1 and Thursday 2 August goes back to where it all started at a stud farm in Victoria and
meet her trainers, jockeys, owners, breeder and grooms.
The programme also follows the mare’s training in the lead up to Royal Ascot, where she
raced in front of the Queen.
Still unbeaten after 21 races,
Black Caviar took on Europe’s best at Royal Ascot to win yet again, taking her unbeaten record to a total of 22 races.
Both UK premieres, Australian Story: Black Caviar will be shown on Horse & Country TV on
Wednesday 1 August at 19.30 and Black Caviar: To Set Before a Queen will be shown on
Thursday 2 August at 19.30.
