Celebrating the horse in art

The Society of Equestrian Artists is supporting the BHS Drawing the Line campaign with a special preview evening on 4 August of its Horses In Art Exhibition.

The exhibition, which runs from 3 – 8 August at the Mall Galleries in London, marks the 31st anniversary of the society.

The event , which offers free admission, has been organised as a major open show for all equestrian artists and sculptors .

Graham Cory, BHS chief executive, said: “We have been taken aback by the generosity of all those who have provided us with outstanding works of art and highly sought-after experience days. “I am sure that the opportunity to have one of these paintings – whether by one of the UK’s pre-eminent equestrian artists or by one of the nation’s favourite celebrities – hanging in one’s own home will generate a significant sum to help the BHS tackle the welfare problems arising from indiscriminate breeding of horses and ponies.” For more information about the exhibitions, membership and the Society visit www.equestrianartists.co.uk
