i have a 14.2 welsh section D mare she has serious problems with me using any contact on the bit it can but take half an hour for her to settle in.
my problem is around other horses whether it be on the yard in the paddock (only when ridden) she seems to get extremely over excited, cantering sideways, jogging when i want her to walk, and cantering when i want her to trot.
Its a constant battle, i have tried to let her get on with it but it take me a couple of minuites to stop because the more rein i take or even just a half halt the more she is running from the bit. i have no run out of options. I will never sell her, she also is prone to laminitis so she camn not be turned away either!!!
ANY SUGESTIONS PLEEEESE!!!
